wellbeing through learning

myBeing has been created to provide students with a holistic understanding of the life skills required to be positive, active and safe members of their communities, now as students and in their futures as adults. The aim of myBeing is to engage students in activities that allow them to develop those skills that are often not taught in a ‘traditional’ classroom environment.

The structure of myBeing sees students rotate through the topics throughout the year. Their teachers will be the experts on the topic and teach that topic only to each group of students as they rotate. This ensures that teachers are presenting lessons in their areas of expertise and able to create lessons that are engaging and suited to each student in the rotation. Students will learn and complete activities that are mapped to the Victorian Curriculum. Throughout the year students will have the opportunity to hear from external experts on a variety of topics who will support the learning that is happening in the classroom.
